Banana–Cacao Nibs Energy Bites (No Bake)

Ingredients (8–10 small bites)

• 2 ripe bananas

• 80 g rolled oats

• 1–2 tbsp cacao nibs

• 1 tbsp almond butter or peanut butter

• Optional: pinch of salt or cinnamon

Preparation

1. Mash the bananas with a fork until smooth.

2. Add oats and nut butter. Mix until a thick mass forms.

3. Fold in cacao nibs last.

4. Shape into small balls or flat bites.

5. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes before eating.

What happens chemically

• Banana sugars(glucose/fructose) soften bitterness perception of cacao nibs without added sugar.

• Oats + fiber from nibsslow glucose absorption, leading to steadier energy release.

• No heatpreserves polyphenols and volatile cacao aromatics.
